About this site
The “Clip Feed” answers a few questions I asked myself pretty frequently during my quarter in Medill’s Chicago newsroom:
- Are my stories being published? If so, where and when?
- Are other people getting stuff published?
- What are people in the other RPA’s writing about?
I knew our online clips were showing up in Google News…but I also knew that Google only displays stories for 30 days before deleting them from their database. This site will “store” the links to online clips in one central location and look for new ones every two hours.
WARNING!
As far as I can tell, the Daily Herald, Chicago Defender, Daily Southtown and Northwest Indiana Times are the only client papers on Google News. ChiTownDailyNews stories aren’t showing up on here (yet) and pieces from the other clients never will (because they don’t have RSS feeds).
